Daily Prompt: Day Three: Cartoon-y-ish-like

So I cheated, I did these the night before but I went to bed early last night so I didn't do anything. Here it is Cartoonyishlike.

Daily Prompt: Day Two: Paper Dress

Here it is! I did this pretty quick, in my DLP journal. Kind of think I made a mistake with the metal thing in the middle of the flower, it might destroy it when I shut it.. ugh I hope not!

Made the paper dress origami style with tissue paper, glued some book pages down, put some gesso and bronze and gold shimmery watercolor on top, I also painted the flowers with the same watercolor, glued the dress down, finished! I guess I could have added more but I think it is simple and perfect.

Plus, I am so proud of myself for getting TWO WHOLE DAYS done! *happy dance*

Daily Prompt: DAY ONE: Day of the Dead.

I am doing a prompt daily, hopefully for a month (or longer) to get myself out of my annoying "I don't know what to do" rut. Today's prompt was Day of the Dead. Here is what I did

Done with a magazine transfer, colored pencils, a really awful smeary pen, some paper flowers and shimmery watercolors.

This was something I had already started but took in a totally new direction, so I had a lot of problems getting it to look like I wanted. It's still not perfect but I like it. What is perfect, anyway? Inspiration from various "sugar skull makeup" pins on pinterest, plus some day of the dead magnets.

"Clockwork" ATCs for my random exchange this week!

So.. I was sitting around.. scouring Pinterest... trying to find some way that I could make clock art. The thing is, I am not technical, or even neat.. with art, I'm messy and random and sloppy, and clockwork just sounds so neat and clean. Not me. I'm not neat or clean. Even my mind is a mess.
So... I continued to scour pinterest, and I came across an image. At first I couldn't figure out what it had to do with "clockwork" and then I realized! A Clockwork Orange! So I made these ATCs (artist trading cards) and sent two off to my partners and kept two for myself.
